Answer three little questions and you get a chart made just for your bottles β every size, no math. Print it and keep it by your mixing spot.
1 What kind of nicotine do you have?
i Not sure which one you have?
Look at the label on your nicotine bottle. Regular (also called freebase) is the usual kind, and most bottles are this one.
SALTS bottles say "salt" or "nic salt" on the label. They feel smoother, so people use a higher number.
UK nic shots are small 10 mL bottles at 20 mg/mL β common in the UK and Europe.
If you don't add nicotine at all, pick None.
2 How strong is your nicotine base?
mg/mL
i Where do I find this number?
It's printed on your nicotine bottle as mg/mL (sometimes written "mg/ml" or just "mg"). 100 mg/mL is the one we recommend: it is the safest to handle and the easiest to measure.
Stronger bases (like 250) need very small amounts, so a pipettor really helps. If your number isn't here, pick Other and type it in.
3 How strong do you want your mix?
mg/mL
i What do these numbers mean?
mg/mL is how much nicotine ends up in each mL of your finished bottle. Lower is lighter, higher is stronger.
For regular nicotine, 3 and 6 are the most popular. SALTS are usually mixed stronger, like 12 or 22.
Not sure? Start lower β you can always make the next bottle stronger.
4 What are you filling the rest with?
i What's a carrier?
The carrier is the plain liquid that fills up the rest of your bottle: PG (propylene glycol), VG (vegetable glycerin), or a mix of both. The numbers are the PG/VG split β 30/70 means 30% PG and 70% VG.
The chart doesn't change much with the ratio; it just prints your choice on the page so your recipe is written down.
Tip: the flavor blends are VG-based, so add a little more PG than your usual ratio.
In the print window, set margins to "None" and turn on "Background graphics" so the warm colors print. "Save as PDF" works too.

Chemical Handling & Safety: DIY mixing involves handling concentrated substances that require strict safety protocols. Liquid nicotine is an acutely toxic chemical that can be hazardous or fatal if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. If you choose to work with nicotine bases, always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (nitrile gloves and eye protection), work in a well-ventilated area, use accurate measuring equipment, and keep all materials locked safely out of the reach of children and pets.
Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability: While every effort is made to ensure the mathematical accuracy of these mixing charts, all information is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Always independently verify your dilution math and target concentrations before mixing. By using the information on this site, you agree that you are a legal adult in your jurisdiction and that you assume full responsibility and liability for your own safety, workspace practices, and the outcomes of any mixtures you create.
The one rule: Alice Flavor Blend is always one-quarter of the finished bottle. Everything else on this site follows from that.
These are flavor extracts for mixing into your recipe. Do not eat, drink, or use them straight. Handle nicotine responsibly and keep all supplies away from children and pets.
